Silvia Nevado Roca

Biography

Born in Barcelona, Spain, Silvia studied a degree in Fine Art of specialisation in Printing, at Saint Jordi’s University of Fine Art in Barcelona, from 1987 to 1993. In 1991 she attended the Art Institute San Antonio, Texas (USA) where she studied lithography and engraving. In the following years Silvia received an Erasmus Scholarship to study ‘etching’ in Academia di Belle Arti di Bologna, Italy. In 1995 she arrived in Dublin, a place that she fell in love with. In 1999 she was awarded the Arts Council Travel Award to go to Paris, where She studied Hayter technique at L’Atelier Contrepoint, Paris, France. From 2001 to 2004 Silvia completed a Masters in Art therapy in Metáfora, University of Barcelona. Later she attended the National College of Ireland (NCI), where she graduated with a BA (Hons) in Psychology in 2019. Silvia had the great fortune of working on some truly inspiring projects while networking with many influential and creative individuals along the way. She believes in the power of working together to create a whole that is greater than the sum of its parts.
