Statement

Landscape has always been the driving inspiration in my work. Over the years I have explored the rich Irish landscapes of Wicklow and Leitrim through paint, and printmaking. In the work I look for the essence of the moment- just before rain, after a snowfall, as the light fades and try to capture that. Since the pandemic I have also worked on the coastal area I live in and am trying to celebrate the beauty of everyday details of the Dublin coast.
