Biography
Dorota Konchevska is an audio-visual artist living and creating in Ireland for the past 16 years. Her work engages etching, mixed media installations and cross genre projects. In her recent work she is aiming to enhance artistic expression and contemporary take on the human body and its ephemeral, fragile qualities.
Statement
I have always been interested in probing complex range of human emotions, questions of gender, loneliness. It is within condition of disorientation and searching for a sense of belonging that I analyze a multi-layered relationship between space and identity. I prefer to create unpretentious collection of vignettes that is curiously daring instead of documenting.
