Ann Kenny

Ann Kenny has a degree in The History of Art and English Literature from Trinity College Dublin. Her print practice has developed through taking a number of print workshops in the Black Church Print studio. She is part of the Maker’s House in Wexford town, a small commercial gallery that promotes and sells the work of Wexford-based artists. She has worked extensively in education and delivers workshops for children. Her print practice has developed over the last 5 years and includes monoprints, etchings, lino print and aquatint. She also combines her print work with collage.

I am an illustrator, print artist and writer. I create editioned artist’s books, picture books for children, wordless books and fine art prints. My practice explores the interplay between words, pictures, and stories. It is cross-disciplinary. I also write and illustrate books for children. I worked as a primary school teacher for 12 years before transitioning to a full-time practice as a professional artist. I use this previous experience now in a free-lance capacity and run print workshops for adults and art camps for children.
