Biography
Bébhinn Nic Liam is a printmaker and artist book maker based in Dublin. A graduate of the National College of Art & Design, she came to printmaking later in her career. A recipient of an ADF award, enabling her to do printmaking courses in both Ireland and Germany consolidated her love of printmaking. She is a member of the Blackchurch Print Studio and of Peannaire, the Association of Irish Calligraphers. Her work has been shown in Ireland, Britain, Italy, Serbia, Australia and Japan and has been included in many private and public collections, including the Limerick College of Art & Design.
Statement
For Bébhinn, drawing is fundamental to her practice, whether life drawing or examining the traces left behind by previous generations. The memories, real and imagined, in the objects they used and the paths they walked.
