Statement

I am interested in the aesthetic and conceptual potentials of printing onto silk – a surface that absorbs ink differently from paper and creates a dynamic, sensual space between control and chance. I explore the body, often my own, through printed works that document my painting practice as wearable and experiential. I am also interested in how images, photographs and memories can be reinterpreted through screenprint – how the medium combines both traditional and digital techniques, and what I myself learn through the labour of printmaking.
