Belle-Pilar Fleming

American Artist Belle-Pilar will work in Black Church Print Studio for four weeks during Spring 2022. During her time in our Studio, she hopes to explore the role of archives in queer historiography by creating a series of prints utilizing source material found in the Irish Queer Archives. Through this project she will explore the intersection of identity and place, highlighting those aspects of the human experience which cross borders and labels. Her residency will culminate in an artist talk and print demonstration open to the public.
