Biography
Ann Gilleece grew up in Cork. She studied Viola and Piano at the Royal College of Music , London and following her studies there, she moved to Italy where she played viola in several orchestras , including the Teatro Comunale , Bologna and the Arena di Verona opera orchestra. She moved back to Ireland in 1985 and continued to juggle her busy musical career with teaching. In 2002 she took up print making , becoming a member of the Black Church Print Studio in 2012. She is also a member of the Water Colour Society of Ireland and of the Dublin Painting & Sketching Club. Her prints have been exhibited in Ireland, UK, Bulgaria, Spain, Canada and U.S.A.
